Another ZM representative in Scotland

We are delighted to announce that Robbie Brown has joined our ZM team as a voluntary representative and will serve the Churches in Fife and neighbouring areas. He joins Myra Wilson who is ZM representative in Northern Scotland and Ralph Gunn working as a voluntary representative in the greater Glasgow area. We thank God for these colleagues at a time when we still greatly feel the loss of our dear friend and brother John Finlayson who worked so faithfully and effectively to build up the work across the country.

Robbie Brown gave his life to the Lord at 16 but backslid. For years he knew that as with Adam in the garden, the Lord was asking "Where are you?" but like Adam, he 'hid'. Finally he returned, and found his Heavenly Father's arms opened wide to welcome him. Since then he has been to Bible College, gained wide experience of preaching, been on short-term mission to Greenland and Nigeria, and is now studying for a PhD in theology. Robbie has known about ZM for years and feels called to be a volunteer Area Representative, a post which he took up on 1 May 2010. He is planning to visit Malawi in August 2010

Now living in Glenrothes with his wife, Michelle, Robbie is keen to speak about the work of ZM and to preach in eastern Scotland.

If you feel Robbie could be of help to your Church please contact him at:

We are thankful to God for all those He has prompted to help ZM support national believers in Malawi and Northern Mozambique,
but we need more helpers!

Perhaps you could be one of them.

You might not experience the call of God as clearly as did Isaiah before he 'volunteered' (Isaiah 6:8) - indeed, you might not sense His direction at all until you make a move towards involvement in a particular aspect of His work!

In your area
We need people who are able to contact individuals and Church Fellowships and visit to share God's Word and news of the Church in Malawi & N. Mozambique. The extent of your commitment would depend on your circumstances

In your Church
We could use someone willing to represent ZM within your Fellowship, by

  • Maintaining the profile of the church in Malawi
  • Highlighting latest news for prayer
  • Arranging a visit from a ZM speaker.
  • Managing a ZM project such as 'Recycling a Pastor', collecting stamps'
  • Generally, being the link between the Church and the Mission and helping to supporting the Church in Malawi

If you think you might be able to volunteer some help as a representative or in any of these other ways please get in touch. We can then talk together and see how the Lord is directing us.
