A fine team of helpers

Zambesi Mission is a small organisation with only six workers in Malawi, all serving in the vital ministry of training Church leaders in the Evangelical Bible College of Malawi. Here in the UK we have only one full time member of staff with three others working part time.

However, a lot of people give their help in a voluntary capacity

These include:-

Executive Council - the Executive usually meets four times a year. Three of these are one day meetings held in York, whilst the November residential meetings stretch over three days and are often held on the premises of a supporting Church. Last November the Executive met at Pound Lane Free Church in Isleham, Cambridgeshire.

The members of the Executive, who are often occupied with ZM matters outside these meetings, give their time freely and are a great encouragement in the Lord's work. Some of them travel considerable distances to meet together and they would all appreciate your prayerful interest and support :

David Faulkner of Doncaster Evangelical Church retired as Chairman of the Trustees and Executive member at the end of the November meetings in Isleham. David has served as a Council member since 1994 and arranged Executive meetings in his home Church for a considerable period. He and his wife Anne also hosted ZM groups in their home on many occasions. They visited Malawi twice during these years and have always taken the closest interest in the work of the mission and the Church in Africa.

David was the ZM treasurer for a number of years and has recently been part of the financial team working to bring the missions accounting systems up-to-date.

His warmth, humour and good sense will be greatly missed but we know that David and Anne will continue to take a deep interest in the work of the mission and will be available to give advice and encouragement.

Our very warmest thanks go to both David and Anne and we gladly commend them to the Lord in all their future work for Him.
