Mrs Esnart Ntonio was among the large congregation which gathered on Saturday 1 June for the opening of the fine building erected in memory of her husband,
Pastor Levison Ntonio, at Namisu. This was exactly one year on from the date of the UK Thanksgiving Service held at Soham Baptist Church in Cambridgeshire
at which the memorial fund was launched. A pastor's house has also been built beside the church.
Those taking part in the celebrations includedRev Mwai Kamuyambeni (ZEC Chairman), Rev Dyson Chitekwe (ZEC General Secretary), Rev Winston Chidzambuyo (Namisu pastor), Rev
Connex Ijalasi (ZEC Youth Co-ordinator and Deputy General Secretary), John Finlayson andColin Cresswell (ZM visitors from the UK) and John Searle (Aquaid Lifeline Fund), who preached the Bible message. The Member of Parliament and
the Village Chief for the region brought greetings.
Friends attended from several local Churches and denominations with a number of young peoples' choirs contributing singing items. After the service visitors
were entertained to lunch at the nearby Aquaid Orphan Village of which Levison was the local director until his tragic death in March 2001
Praise God for all the significance of this very special occasion and pray for the continued growth and development of His Church at Namisu.
