We warmly welcome John and Janette who joined the ZM family at the beginning of April.
They live in Wishaw, near Motherwell in southern Scotland. They have two married daughters and two grandchildren.
John has wide experience in Christian work and is well known for his work with missions in the North.
In 1986, after three year's Bible training at BTI in Glasgow during which he was challenged to get actively involved in world missions, John joined the
International Christian Fellowship as its representative in Scotland and N.E.England. He then continued to serve in this capacity when ICF merged with SIM
International in 1989.
John's mission work has taken him into many Churches in Scotland and the islands and across the north of England. He has also visited a number of countries
to see the ministries of ICF/SIM and encourage the national Christians. These include Bangladesh, Pakistan and India in Asia, Nigeria, Benin, Niger, Burkino
Faso, and Senegal in West Africa, and Peru and Bolivia in South America.
John joined ZM in April 2002 as its Development Officer seeking to strengthen relationships between the mission and Churches particularly in the North.
He is also be keen to forge new links with UK Churches and individuals as part of ZM's purpose of spreading information about the national Church God is
building in Malawi.
As they prepare for this new challenge, John and Janette plan to visit Malawi from 18 May to 3 June 2002. |
