Do you know how many Bibles...

...you have in your home?

...or piled in dusty cupboards at the Church?

...have you any idea how many versions of the Scriptures are available in the UK?

Difficult questions to answer but one thing is certain; in many countries the people have no hope of ever having a Bible of their own....unless someone helps them.

In Malawi copies of the Scriptures still cost less than £2 but, with 90% of the people subsisting on small plots of land, there is rarely that much money to spare!

With the help of UK Christians, ZM and ZEC have distributed good numbers of Bibles in recent years and Bible study groups have been set up in many parts of Malawi.

The Church is continuing to grow very quickly, however, and more Believers than ever before are without Bibles, with the result that preachers and teachers often have to share as they study and serve in the Churches. There is a great desire to own the Scriptures and we have found people walking (or running!) miles in the hope of receiving a copy...

...but someone has to give before they can receive and there
are never enough to go around!

Have you counted the number of copies and versions available to you yet?

Freight costs and language restrictions make it impractical to send Bibles to Malawi but there is usually a good supply available from the Bible Society in Blantyre. ZM provides funds whenever possible for them to be purchased and distributed.
