After
several months of sick leave and visits to a variety of medical people in Scotland, Bill Wilson has been cleared for his return to Malawi and we praise
God that he and Myra are set to fly to Blantyre on 9/10 January.
For a considerable
time after Bill's departure for Scotland last June, Myra carried on with her teaching at the Evangelical Bible College of Malawi. She also did a grand job
in continuing to provide the link between the Zambesi Mission in the UK and the Zambesi Evangelical Churches - a work which Bill usually does so effectively.
Thankfully at the end of last term Myra was able to fly home and spend the Christmas period with Bill and the family.
Although
there have been frustrations for Bill as he has had to await the results of seemingly endless medical tests during these last few months, he has been far
from sidelined ! He has used this enforced absence from the work in Malawi to considerably strengthen ZM's base in Scotland. In addition to being involved
in a number of meetings, Bill has been meeting with individuals and visiting Bible Colleges and other Christian organisations to forged links with ZM/ZEC.
He also played a key role in arranging the itinerary for Pastor Mwai Kamuyambeni during his very successful tour of Scotland in November.
We praise the Lord for all that Bill has been able to do whilst in Scotland and we look to the
Lord to strengthen he and Myra for all that now lies ahead in Malawi. |
